A part of Doi Inthanon Hiking Trail
A part of Doi Inthanon hiking trails
The highest mountain is Doi Ithanon Thailand at 2565m, It  has three impressive waterfalls cascading down its slopes. For most of the year, a mist hangs around the highest peak. The climate is typically tropical and fairly cool on the Doi Inthanon summit.

Along the 47km road to the top are terraced rice fields, tremendous valleys and a few small Hmong and Karen hill-tribe villages. This is one of the top destinations in Southeast Asia for nature and animal lovers, the mist-shrouded upper slopes produce abundant orchids, lichens, mosses and epiphytes and are home to nearly 400 bird varieties, the mountain is also one of the last habitats of the Asiatic black bear, along with the Assamese macaque, Phayre’s leaf-monkey and a selection of other rare and not-so-rare monkeys and gibbons as well as the more common Indian civet, barking deer and giant flying squirrel – around 75 mammal species in all.

If you want to explore all the natural wonders Doi Inthanon National Park has to offer, there is no better way to do it than to go hiking and camping for a couple of days! I'm sure you will find many printed resources on this destination and activities. Here is a recommended climbing guide for Thailand which you can buy on Amazon.
